MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - Mario Enriquez grew up around food. As a young man, he opened two restaurants in New York, then another in California. Five months ago, he moved his family to Alabama deciding it was time to bring some NYC flavor to the MGM. His restaurant La Trattoria just opened. “I’m nervous and excited,” said Enriquez. He’s had restaurants on both coasts, but says New York is always home.

Montgomery will celebrate a few days early at the Davis Theatre, on Saturday, You can join the celebration for Hank Williams 101 . The party starts at 3 p.m., and tickets are still available. If you can’t attend the party on Saturday, you can really celebrate his life at any time. “Montgomery is the place Hank Williams got his start,” said Jeff Petty, a volunteer at the Hank Williams Museum in downtown Montgomery.
