It has been a year since WTMJ’s Julia Fello shared her husband Jason’s heartbreaking diagnosis, that at 39 years old, he was diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease. They shared their story publicly, to encourage everyone to go to the doctor if they feel something is wrong with their health. In Jason’s case, he did not get the right answer about his health for several years. He encouraged people to never give up, and to go to another doctor altogether, to get the answers you need.

MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee Police Department is having a fundraiser on December 11 at 10:30 A.M. at the Police Academy at 6680 N. Teutonia Avenue, Milwaukee. Patty Jerving, the mother of Officer Peter Jerving, has 22 afghans which she crocheted over the past few months that will be on sale there. These afghans are for “Squad 4374”. The number 4374 was Peter Jerving and Jimmy Nowak’s squad when they worked the streets of Milwaukee together.

That means that every 40 seconds, someone in the United States is having a stroke. We usually think of strokes as something that happens to people over the age of 65, but strokes can happen to anyone.
