LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Another English Bulldog is fighting to survive after rescuers found her paralyzed and barely breathing in North Las Vegas. “They said, ‘Hey, there’s this bulldog that’s down by a light pole,”‘ Lindsey Pinapfel of Vegas Pet Rescue Project told 8 News Now. A Bulldog dog now named ‘Suzie’ is recovering after she was abandoned near North Lamb Boulevard and East Tropical Parkway Wednesday night. “When she first came in this morning,” Kathryn Ellebracht veterinarian said.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III spoke publicly for the first time since he was sentenced in a 2021 DUI crash that left a woman and her dog dead. Ruggs was granted temporary prison release Tuesday to attend a Hope for Prisoners event, where he spoke with former prisoners and those currently incarcerated. “I wish I could turn back the hands of time,” Ruggs said. It happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. near Desert Inn Road and Lamb Boulevard. Las Vegas Metro police told 8 News Now an SUV was stopped at a light when an unregistered trail motorcycle approached the stopped SUV and failed to slow down or stop before hitting the rear of the SUV.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – Las Vegas Metro police told 8 News Now an apparent argument between neighbors in the northwest valley may have led to a shooting. It happened on Tuesday around 9 p.m. in the 8500 block of Copper Falls Avenue near Durango Drive and Gowan Road. As the two neighbors argued, someone associated with one of the neighbors was sitting in a vehicle and produced a firearm, shooting one person in the leg, according to Las Vegas Metro police.
