LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - A manhunt for a “dangerous fugitive” is underway after a Missouri police officer was shot multiple times while responding to a domestic disturbance call. A Blue Alert is in effect across several counties in Missouri and Kansas as law enforcement officials search for 27-year-old Thomas Eugene Tolbert. He is accused of shooting and seriously injuring a Lee’s Summit police officer late Sunday night, KCTV reports.

RIVERSIDE, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - A night of terror in Missouri ended Friday morning when the man suspected of killing two people, injuring another and abducting a child was killed by police. The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old George Manning was shot and killed by police just after 7:30 a.m.He was the suspect in two homicides that occurred Friday night, the second of which involved a child abduction that prompted an Amber Alert, authorities reported.

Share KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - Around 2:30 Wednesday morning, Jan. 22, Kansas City, Kansas police responded to calls from a home reporting a man shot and killed. The house sits due east of the 18th Street Expressway and Metropolitan Ave. and just south of the Kaw River. Upon arrival, the man was found shot and killed inside the home. Others were inside the house and are said to be cooperating with police but no one is yet in custody for the shooting.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - A window washer left dangling 23 stories in the air was saved by two unlikely heroes who jumped in to help the fire department. Etienne Wagers and Lucas Berry of Santa Fe Glass were doing glass work on the 12th floor of One Kansas City Place, the tallest skyscraper in Kansas City, Missouri. That’s when they were asked if they could help out with a rescue taking place on the 26th floor, KCTV reports.
