SHAWNEE, Kan. (KCTV) - Police took a suspect into custody early Tuesday morning after shots were fired in a Shawnee neighborhood. Shortly before 5 a.m., June 17, officers responded to a shots-fired call near homes at 67th and Midland Drive in Shawnee. A suspect fired several rounds, and an officer returned fire at that suspect before taking him into custody. No one was hit in the exchange.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) - The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is investigating after a Kansas City, Kansas police officer fired their weapon, hitting a suspect in a domestic call dispute. It happened around 3:30 a.m. Monday, June 2, in the 200 block of N. 78 Street, south of the Kansas Speedway. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said Monday the suspect, identified as 41-year-old Timothy Cella, made verbal threats to officers. The KBI said KCKPD officers believed Cella pointed a gun at them.

RIVERSIDE, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - A night of terror in Missouri ended Friday morning when the man suspected of killing two people, injuring another and abducting a child was killed by police. The Platte County Sheriff’s Office said 43-year-old George Manning was shot and killed by police just after 7:30 a.m.He was the suspect in two homicides that occurred Friday night, the second of which involved a child abduction that prompted an Amber Alert, authorities reported.
