EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) – A veterans hall in Missouri is having déjà vu after a second car crashed through its roof within three months. The crashes happened at the Clay-Ray Veterans Hall on St. Louis Avenue in Excelsior Springs. Excelsior Springs is located about 30 miles northeast of Kansas City. The Excelsior Springs Police Department confirmed Wednesday morning that one person was injured after driving their car through the roof of the veterans hall.

EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. (KCTV) - It’s déjà vu all over again for an Excelsior Springs veterans group. The Excelsior Springs Police Department confirmed Wednesday morning that one person was injured after driving their car through the roof of the Clay-Ray Veterans Hall, which sits on the east side of St. Louis Avenue. Lt. Ryan Dowdy said that officers were still looking into whether the driver had a medical emergency or if impairment was a factor.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Governor Mike Kehoe is expected to announce plans for a special session Tuesday morning. The governor previously said he planned to call a special session to discuss the possibility of providing tax breaks to keep the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs in Missouri. A last-second idea to use tax revenue by the teams to finance bonds to build a new stadium didn’t have enough support to get through the regular session earlier this month.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - More than 1000 Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) positions are being moved out of Washington, D.C., into field offices around the country, according to FBI Director Kash Patel. Director Patel told Congress the plan includes sending dozens to the Kansas City Regional Office to help tackle " an explosion of violent crime" in middle America. The agents will be assigned to help crack down on violent crimes, drugs, homicides, and gang activity.
