The Crown of the Continent Choir will close out its 13th season at the O’Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish on April 27, with a reception and silent auction at 3 p.m., followed by the choir’s finale concert at 4 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The Kalispell-based choir is made up of community members of varied ages, musical backgrounds and life experiences who sing free of charge at many community activities and fundraising events.

Whitefish City Council last week agreed to commit funds to the Workforce Rental Assistance Program. Daniel Sidder, executive director of Housing Whitefish, proposed a funding plan for the next three years. The city would contribute $200,000 in fiscal year 2026, $250,000 in 2027 and $300,000 in 2028. Housing Whitefish will raise funds to match the city’s contributions one to one.

With an artful swirl of a specialized tool, skilled crêpe makers at Amazing Crêpes create not only delicious food but a bit of a show as well. It’s common to see people on the sidewalk outside the popular Whitefish restaurant, seemingly hypnotized by the rapid and rhythmic production of the thin cakes. Amazing Crêpes is marking 20 years in business. Special treats during April are part of its celebration. Beginning as a food truck, Amazing Crêpes was founded in 2005.

Apr. 9—Whitefish Mountain Resort's 2024-25 ski season saw great snow initially, an early spring and then a second winter when March served up a couple legit powder days. The mountain received a total of 282 inches of snow during the season. Jan. 4 hosted the most season passholders, as 4,819 took to the slopes. March 22 was the deepest day, with 6 inches falling overnight and 5 inches during the previous day.
