Since the Chickasaw Nation announced the project in October 2021 OKC residents and would-be tourists alike have been eagerly awaiting its arrival. One of the most exciting and intimidating parts of creating a magazine is anticipating what people will find interesting in the future. We create an editorial calendar the summer before the next year, so by the time a December issue comes out, its cover story has been planned for a year and a half.
