A project to update gas, sewer and water mains on the east side of Long Beach Boulevard from around 44th to 61st streets in Brant Beach should conclude sometime this week, Long Beach Township Commissioner Alexander Meehan reported. The work was supposed to finish last week, but rain impeded progress. After the underground work ends, a milling machine will smooth the roadway, and a finish coat will be applied. “It will definitely be better than it is now,” the commissioner noted.
