UNION COUNTY, Pa. — Inside the Union-Snyder Agency on Aging in Lewisburg, Executive Director Holly Kyle and other workers are discussing the next steps as they deal with notifying their clients about the cuts to the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. The program is offered annually to seniors in the area who are income-eligible to receive five $5 vouchers for a total of $25.

SUNBURY, Pa. — On one of the trails at the Sunbury Wetland Ecological Education Park (S.W.E.E.P.), Committee President Kurt Karlovich is looking over an area that is being worked on as the park continues to be upgraded. Karlovich had an idea in 2018 to fix up the once-overgrown area on part of North Sixth Street.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — At the Bloomsburg Children's Museum, Executive Director Ginny Weibel and a worker are looking over kids' robot creations. The museum just received a grant from the Arconic Foundation in partnership with the local Kawneer plant in Bloomsburg. The grant will help to expand the museum's STEM programs for rural children ages 10-17. "We've been running STEM programs for as long as we've been in existence.

SUNBURY, Pa. — At Fort Discovery Park in Sunbury, Melissa Rowse and Sarah Fisher from the Degenstein Community Library are looking over one of the finished panels along the new storywalk that was put in place a couple of weeks ago. Rowse says the idea came from Fisher. "Attended training and came back saying, "Hey, I got this great idea, let's do a story walk," and I said yes, let's do it," said Melissa Rowse, Degenstein Community Library.

MOUNT CARMEL, Pa. — In an empty lot at 39 South Locust Street in Mt. Carmel, where two homes once stood, now sits a new community garden. Brad Wydra has been working to get the garden up and running and says the idea came from working on farms around the country for a few years. "I was working on an organic farm in New Hampshire, and I started running that farm for one full season last year.
