SNYDER COUNTY, Pa. — Inside the Natural Sciences Center building on Susquehanna University's campus, Professor Siobhan Fathel and student Jordan Bender are looking over some of the climate storybooks others created in the class this semester. Fathel teaches the Climate and Global Change class and says this idea came after she was thinking about ways students could communicate the information they were learning.

The police department recently designated two parking spots reserved for conducting safe transactions. The idea came after the chief was searching on Facebook and looking at other departments in the Commonwealth. He says they are always looking for new ideas.

Snyder says it began in 1945 by Thelma and Harry Sterling after they were looking for something to do. He says the Sterling's decided to make hot dogs and sell them right at their home.

SUNBURY, Pa. — Jessica Beninsky and her five-year-old corgi Watson are enjoying the warm weather but also looking ahead to their second year hosting the Northeast Pennsylvania corgi gathering called Coffee with Corgis. "The idea came from my dog Watson, who is a Corgi, and I thought it would just be something fun and different for the area and also a great way to raise awareness about Watson's Wish Foundation," said Jessica Beninsky, Watson's Wish Foundation Founder.

Northumberland County Historical Society showcases President Lincoln collection

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. — A new exhibit is now open at the Northumberland County Historical Society, but this is not your typical collection of artifacts. It all highlights former President Abraham Lincoln. The items were found about a year ago after a volunteer stumbled upon them in the attic of the historical society. The items were donated back in 1988 by a Lincoln collector from the area, Leo C. Bobb.

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. — Bloomsburg Police Chief Scott Price recounts what took place shortly before 6 a.m. Thursday after a resident found a small dog wandering along East Ninth Street in the town. He says the resident checked with neighbors who had doorbell cameras to see if they could find out where the dog came from. What they found was unsettling. "The dog was swaddled in a pair of pants; maybe the pant legs were tied shut, and the dog was placed in this pair of pants.
