We're in for more rounds of snow and icy weather in the Philadelphia region this week. The first blast of wintry weather arrives later on Tuesday. The First Alert Weather Team has issued a First Alert for accumulating snow and hazardous travel for South Jersey, Delaware, Philadelphia and the immediate Pennsylvania suburbs from 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025, to 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. Here's your guide to the snow, how much of it you might get and when more wintry weather is expected to arrive.

We're in for another round of snow in the Philadelphia region this week. A Winter Storm Watch will be in effect Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday afternoon for South Jersey and all of Delaware. The snow is expected to move in mid-afternoon on Tuesday and get heavier from Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The snow will then taper off early Wednesday afternoon and much of the snow that sticks on the ground will be washed away by rain late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

As the snow moves out of the Philadelphia region, frigid conditions are settling in. The drop in temperatures began Sunday night with highs in the low 20s leading to icy overnight road conditions. The bitter cold will continue in the Philadelphia area Monday morning and last through Thursday. Monday's high will only be in the mid-20s and wind chills will remain near zero to only five above throughout the day.

The first major winter storm of 2025 is moving through South Jersey, Philadelphia, Delaware and the Pennsylvania suburbs. Snow began to fall during the early morning hours of Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, in southern Delaware and New Jersey and will continue throughout much of the day. A winter storm warning is in effect for parts of South Jersey and Delaware, while a winter weather advisory is in effect in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs through late Monday night.
