SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — Two people who trespassed on Canyonlands National Park have been fined $1,500, banned from federal public lands for various lengths and assigned probation. Coloradans Roxanne McKnight, 39, and Dusty Spencer, 43, trespassed into a fenced off site on park grounds and were accused of stealing artifacts.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — The Salt Lake District Attorney's Office announced they won't file charges in the death of a Salt Lake man in late 2024. In November, Salt Lake police were in contact with 50-year-old John Michael Gianini before sending him to the hospital, where he later died after suffering a heart attack during transport, officials said.

FARMINGTON, Utah (KUTV) — Lagoon has moved their big cats out of the amusement park's zoo and plans to rehome the rest of the animals later this year. Park spokesperson Adam Leishman said the land where the "animal exhibits" exist will be phased out and other developments will take place. Leishman said the train that takes patrons on a ride around the zoo to see the animals will remain in place.

TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (KUTV) — A Taylorsville man was arrested for reportedly assaulting his former roommate and trying to take the roommate's dentures. Police said 59-year-old John Dana Warden went into a residence he lived in two to three years ago and accused the man there of having his dentures. Documents said the man used to be roommates.

An Olympian who competed in the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics is now on the FBI's Top 10 Most Wanted list. Ryan James Wedding, 43, is wanted "for allegedly running and participating in a transnational drug trafficking operation that routinely shipped hundreds of kilograms of cocaine from Colombia, through Mexico and Southern California, to Canada, and other locations in the United States.
