Brian Mierendorf was sent to replace part of a refrigeration line at the Bloomfield Township Kroger in February 2022, said his attorney Jon Marko. The store was supposed to do an inspection prior to him arriving, but they did not, Marko said.

This announcement comes just weeks after a 33-year-old man fleeing Warren police killed 71-year-old Wendy Drew while prosecutors said he was driving at a high speed on sidewalks, in and out of traffic and in the middle lane.

DETROIT - An Oakland County judge has denied the parents of the Oxford High School shooter a chance at a new trials, despite their attorneys' arguments that prosecutors failed to provide potentially favorable evidence to the defense. Judge Cheryl Matthews issued her decision Wednesday, more than five months after hearing oral arguments about whether a new trial or acquittal was warranted for Jennifer Crumbley and two months after hearing arguments from James Crumbley.
