PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The parents of a young woman killed by a man driving on a suspended license last year were hoping a judge would shoot down a plea deal they felt was too lenient for the suspect. The plea prosecutors offered to Nicholas Meyer was set to expire Friday, but a Maricopa County Superior Court judge in Phoenix extended that offer until the next court hearing. The defense is asking for more time to accept or reject the deal.
