Oklahoma City is running a temporary bus service in place of the streetcars from May 27 to May 29. The city now says the bus won't stop at the Federal Courthouse or Broadway Avenue stops. Those are closed through Thursday. Crews are working on disconnecting power from the old Cox Convention Center to make way for construction on the new Paycom Center. Meanwhile, the Women's College World Series kicks off in Northeast OKC on May 29. Embark is offering non-stop rides to and from Devon Park.

The Oklahoma State Fair will soon start selling a piece of history from the 60-year-old Jim Norick Arena. 546 seats from the old arena are being sold for $75 a piece. 16 of them are being sold to Country music Superstar Reba McEntire, who was discovered at Norick arena in 1974 while singing the National Anthem. Eight of McEntire’s chairs will end up in Reba’s Place Restaurant and Bar in Atoka, Oklahoma. The Oklahoma State Fair says the other eight will end up in Nashville.

The Tulsa based developer is turning the Gold Dome at the corner of NW 23rd and Classen into a concert venue, and tells News 9 renovation construction could begin this year. Mike Brown, with Kismet Koncerts, says construction material availability could push the start date back to early 2026. Once construction begins, Brown thinks the 2000-3000 seat capacity concert venue could be completed in 8 months.

The OKC City Council approved plans for a new paintball park in southwest Oklahoma City. City Councilors approved Epic Paintball's move to 27 acres of wooded terrain at Northwest 10th and County Line road. Epic is currently operating on 12 acres near Swisher Park near I-40 and Morgan Rd.Randy Coles, with Epic Paintball, said the new location will provide more space and shade, along with unique features.

APRIL 19, 199530 years ago, on April 19th, day two of the 58th annual Oklahoma Restaurant Association's convention was just beginning at the old Myriad Convention Center. 430 booths packed the Myriad, showcasing the latest and greatest the hospitality industry had to offer, from equipment to food samples. It brought in primarily restaurateurs and hoteliers from across the state, and up to 12,000 people every year. Then at 9:02 a.m., everything changed.
