If your weekday mornings are spent somewhere a little more corporate, Liminal might be the perfect multi-functional space for you to fuel up at before popping off to work. Located in the foyer of Collins Street’s T&G Building, this daytime diner has become a favourite for those working on their laptops — or having meetings — in the city. Admire stretches of marble and lounge on comfy contemporary couches while you enjoy a wide range of brekkie staples.

If you’ve ever fancied a freshly cut and grilled steak at midnight on a Tuesday, Butchers Diner is one to add to your late-night list. The Bourke Street haunt once served up a full menu 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but it is now only open until 1am, Tuesday–Saturday. Despite it closing a lot earlier (or simply, at all), it is still one of our favourite late-night restaurants in the CBD.

To help you get started, we've compiled this list of camping, hiking and swimming spots in Victoria to journey to with your pup. We bet your doggo has been missing being in nature even more than you have.

The National Gallery of Victoria isn't just good for art — it's also good for a bit of wining and dining, with cafes across all three levels and the Garden Restaurant on the ground level, too. The gallery's Tea Room on level one is good for you if you've brought your mum along and she's mentioned she'd love a cup of tea five times so far, or for you, if you just want to treat yourself to something a bit fancy.
