Richmond Street was closed at Jacksway Crescent for much of Sunday due to an incident involving police, leading to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) taking over the investigation. On Saturday around 9 p.m., OPP said the Middlesex Detachment was called to an address on Butler Street in Lucan for a disturbance. When police arrived on scene, they said a man left in a vehicle, hitting two police cruisers. The driver was seen going towards London.

One person has been taken into custody after the London Police Service responded to a weapons investigation near Cheapside Street and Irving Place. Just after 11:15 a.m. on Saturday, officers received the report. A house was contained, and no evacuations took place. However, residents were told to stay inside. The LPS confirmed there were no injuries, however there are no further details at this time. The situation is now under control.
