The last two candidates standing after the May 3 municipal election are Gina Ortiz Jones, a former U.S. under secretary of the Air Force, and Rolando Pablos, a former Texas secretary of state. While the race is nonpartisan, both Jones and Pablos have strong ties to different political parties. Jones previously unsuccessfully ran for Congress as a Democrat, and Pablos was appointed by Gov. Greg Abbott to be the Texas secretary of state.

AUSTIN, Texas — Calling all music lovers! Austin City Limits has released the lineup for its 2025 music festival. This year’s headliners include Hozier, Doja Cat, Luke Combs, The Strokes, John Summit and Doechii. The festival started teasing its lineup in advance through a series of postcards. The postcards contained images intended to be clues as to which artists would be performing this year. One postcard heavily hinted at pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter being a headliner.
