Man taken to hospital after vehicle hit tree and flipped

At around 9.50pm last night, officers from Suffolk Police responded to reports of the crash in Ivy Lodge Road, in Campsea Ashe near Rendlesham. A spokeswoman for Suffolk Police confirmed the road was closed after the vehicle flipped onto its side, but reopened around 12.35am on Wednesday.

COOK, founded in 1997 in Farnham, in Surrey, announced on its website that it would be opening its Newmarket store on June 27. The new COOK shop will be in the former Prezzo building on Exeter Road, which closed in February 2023.
High Street closed in Mildenhall as smoke plumes from fire

A spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service confirmed four crews are attending the fire in High Street, Mildenhall. Firefighters responded to the 6.30am call and found the outbuilding, which is connected to a residential property, well alight. Suffolk Police closed the road and traffic is being redirected.
Man in hospital after Ipswich petrol station incident

Officers from Suffolk police attended the incident at the Applegreen fuel garage in Woodbridge Road East, near Ipswich Hospital, just after 10.50am on Tuesday. A police cordon was put around the forecourt, blocking entrance to the pumps, after an individual suffered a medical incident. A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were made aware of an incident at Woodbridge Road East following calls concerned for the welfare of a man.
Report into Sicily yacht tragedy to be published this week

Man in hospital after car overturns in Cliff Road in Ipswich

Police were called to the scene in Cliff Road, just after 5.50pm on Monday, where a car had overturned in the road. Cres from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service, the East of England Ambulance Service and the air ambulance also attended the collision. The driver of the car, a man aged in his 60s, was taken by land ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment, a Suffolk police spokesman said. He remains in a serious condition.
Man charged after police bust Ipswich cannabis grow

Police carried out a warrant at a property in Waterloo Road, near the town centre, on Friday. Inside a property, officers discovered a large cannabis grow on site. A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed that a 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and was taken to Martlesham police investigation centre for questioning.
Crews return to scene of 12-hour forest fire to tackle undergrowth blaze

Six fire crews are currently at the same spot at Barton Mills, following 150m of forest undergrowth catching alight. As crews went to reinspect the area at 5am today, a "large plume of smoke" was seen before they arrived, a spokeswoman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue said. Eight engines attended the forest fire in Barton Mills, near Mildenhall, on Monday at 4.42am, along with an operational support unit and a Bowser water tanker from RAF Lakenheath.
