The mother of a man who died when his motorbike crashed has paid tribute to her "beautiful, brilliant, one-of-a-kind" son. Cameron Hamilton-Campbell, from Ringfort Road in Orchard Park, Cambridge, died at Addenbrooke’s Hospital on Friday (April 11) after a crash involving a Tesco delivery van on the A10 in Foxton that morning. The 22-year-old's mother, Monique, said in a statement: "Cameron was my beautiful, brilliant, one-of-a-kind son. Quirky, funny, and full of life – he never left my side.

The aurora borealis dazzled locals in and around Cambridgeshire on Wednesday night (April 16). Purple and green lights were spotted in areas including Landbeach, Godmanchester, Ramsey, Buckden, and Manea. Just over the border in Hertfordshire, the lights were also photographed at Therfield Heath. The spectacle was apparent across many regions of the UK.

A report into the death of a teenage boy who died at Peterborough City Hospital has found that future deaths could occur unless action is taken. Christian Hobbs, an amateur boxer, died after suffering cardiogenic shock and organ failure on December 26, 2017. During an inquest into his death, senior coroner David Heming described "several missed opportunities" by hospital staff members.

A man is in a serious condition after falling from his bike in Cambridgeshire. A MAGPAS air ambulance was sent to the scene along Houghton Hill in Houghton, east of Huntingdon, after the incident at around 9.20am on Wednesday (April 16). An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "An ambulance, a rapid vehicle and the MAGPAS air ambulance were called to Houghton Hill Houghton this morning following reports of an injured cyclist.
