An elderly man who was racially abused before being fatally attacked had told police he witnessed an assault on another Asian man yards from his home two weeks earlier, the BBC has found. Bhim Kohli had been walking his dog in a park in Leicestershire in September when he was punched and kicked by a 14-year-old boy while a girl, 12, filmed the attack.

Kelly Wakefield discovered a chest full of treasure during an afternoon of gardening in St. Albans, Vermont. "It's really neat to have a Civil War bullet in your hand, old coins are just really neat and intriguing to me," Wakefield said.

Downed wires have shut down Interstate 495 and Route 1 ramps in Wrentham, Massachusetts, highway officials said Wednesday.The exit ramps for Route 1 southbound to I-495 northbound and I-495 northbound to Route 1 southbound will remain closed throughout most of the day to allow crews to make utility repairs to the downed wires.
