OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. — A man who admitted guilt for sharing inappropriate videos with a minor received his sentence for the crimes on Monday. Michael Secory, 82, pleaded guilty to distributing sexually explicit material to a minor and use of a computer to commit a crime. The investigation began in January when Norton Shores detectives contacted the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office to look into the situation, as the suspect resided in Spring Lake.

CALHOUN COUNTY, Mich. — Law enforcement is still investigating a fire that razed a historic Battle Creek area grocery store this weekend. The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office said the Pennville Township Fire Department responded to two different fires at Bailey Park Thriftway on Saturday. The first happened just before 6:30 p.m. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene for a reported explosion and dumpster fire. Crews put that fire out quickly.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The Grand Rapids man who was arrested after an hours-long standoff with police is facing multiple felony charges. Chris Reimer, 68, is accused of pointing a rifle at an ex-girlfriend when she went to collect her things and then refusing to comply with Grand Rapids police during a subsequent standoff in the 600 block of Fuller Avenue SE on Wednesday, May 28.

ZEELAND, Mich. — Deputies are on the lookout for a person accused of pointing a firearm at people and vehicles in the Holland/Zeeland Township area late Wednesday morning. The Ottawa County Sheriff's Office said someone called 911 to report a man pointing a gun at people in the area of 9th Avenue and Riley Street in Holland Township. The sheriff's office has called several area schools and notified school resource deputies.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich — This September marks the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Grand Rapids, the home of WWII veteran and President Gerald R. Ford, is planning a week-long celebration to commemorate the Greatest Generation. Nearly 13,000 Michiganders fought and died during WWII, one of the deadliest conflicts in history. Organized by the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, the Greatest Generation Celebration has events starting Sept. 1 through Sunday, Sept. 7.
