The National Weather Service at State College issued two separate Extreme Heat Warnings covering most of our area — one for Mifflin and Juniata counties, and another for Franklin, Perry, Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams, York, and Lancaster counties.

The Brandywine Valley SPCA partnered with Petco Love to hold the largest adoption event in the country at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Del. LITTLESTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — Much of Littlestown and the surrounding area is without power Sunday evening. Just over 3,000 power customers are reported out according to MetEd, parent company. The outage is centered on the Littlestown area where 1,477 customers are out in the borough, or 65% of the borough. Nearly every power customer in Germany Township — 894 out of 920 — is out as well.

(WHTM) — Authorities have identified the body found in the Susquehanna River Saturday afternoon as a missing Harrisburg man. Manor Township Police and numerous fire department marine units were called to the area of the Safe Harbor Dam just before 4 p.m. Saturday. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office said Sunday evening they responded and an adult man was found in the river just north of the Safe Harbor Dam. A fisherman made the initial discovery while out on a boat, police said.
