LOCUSTDALE – The steeple of the old St. Joseph’s Catholic Church here is on the ground and with it came much of the building earlier this week. It came down Thursday afternoon. The steeple is laying in the yard next door and much of the midsection of the building is gone as well. The church is on Main Street in the village in Conyngham Township, feet from the Schuylkill/Columbia county line.

FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. (WHTM) — Fort Indiantown Gap announced Saturday that they will hold several training exercises in June and you might hear some loud noises as a result. LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Tanger Outlets Lancaster hosted its inaugural Walk, Wag, and Make A Difference event Saturday. It’s all to support the East Lampeter Township Police Foundation. There were prizes, a coffee station, an ice cream truck, and more. The first 50 registered dogs received a doggy bag. “It’s absolutely necessary,” Rob Castor, president of the foundation, said.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — People and pets walked and ran around Harrisburg Area Community College Saturday morning. The Humane Society of Harrisburg Area’s second annual Walk for Paws began with a 5K. Adoptable puppies participated in Yoga with Puppies throughout the day. The event brings the community together to raise money for the shelter and the $50,000 fundraising goal was exceeded. abc27’s Mallory Metzner led the one mile walk and judged the pet costume contest.
