On Sunday, the university announced Kirsten Bernthal Booth is resigning to "pursue opportunities outside of coaching," per release. “After 22 unforgettable years as the head coach of Creighton volleyball, I am stepping down with a heart full of gratitude,” Booth said via relea.

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KMTV) — After UCF opened the second half on a 14-0 run, the Nebraska men's basketball team responded with a 24-3 run en route to a 77-66 victory over the Knights in the inaugural College Basketball Crown Tournament. Brice Williams concluded his collegiate career tying for a team-high 21 points with Connor Essegian. Juwan Gary added 20 points. Williams also broke the Huskers' single-season scoring record with 713 points in his final year with the team.

OMAHA (KMTV) — College of Saint Mary softball coach Carolyn Bray is back in the dugout after suffering a serious head injury during a game early in the 2024 season. Video shows Carolyn Bray helping the Flames warm up before a game, softball practice and Bray coaching in the dugout. She was hit in the head with a foul ball during a game in Florida in the 2024 season. Bray received a perseverance award from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

MILLARD, Neb. (KMTV) — Unified Sports are for athletes of any ability. Several Millard schools received recognition for their programs, and one Millard West senior celebrated in a special way. Video shows Millard West senior Drew Janke making a shot at halftime of a basketball game as part of a celebration of the school being named a Special Olympics Unified Champion School. Six Millard schools earned the recognition for the 2024-25 school year.
