MORGANTOWN, W. Va. — The WVU Coliseum was an electric atmosphere Saturday night with the first-ever LED light show in front of a sold out Mountaineer crowd. WVU’s men’s basketball team defeated Utah 72 to 61, the Utes first game in Morgantown and the first game for former WVU head coach Josh Eilert on the other side. The night also celebrated the coal mining industry, wearing the Coal Rush jerseys in front of the crowd of 13,166. West Virginia returns home Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. to take on BYU.

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A new era for WVU Basketball began Friday night with the first Coach Darian DeVries lead team taking the court at the WVU Coliseum. Fans got the chance to see the new team play an exhibition game against a former WVU player coached University of Charleston team. The Mountaineers defeated Coach James Long’s team 94-61. After the game, fans got a chance to meet the new players and coaches as well as get their autographs.
