FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Fargo Public Schools has announced the assignment of Sean Safranski as principal of Davies High School. Safranski is currently serving as an assistant principal at Davies, a role he has had since 2013. His career in education began in 1999 as an eighth grade Earth Science teacher at West Fargo Middle School. From 2004-2013, he was the principal of Shanley High School and Sullivan Middle School in the John Paul II Catholic Schools Network.

Fargo, N.D. – Fargo’s city engineer is starting to get the word out about the need to continue using a portion of city sales tax revenue to cover the cost of roadwork and water projects. The voter-approved 1-percent infrastructure sales tax has been in place since 2009, but is set to expire at the end of 2028. “Without that sales tax, we’d have to find other way to pay for [projects],” City Engineer Tom Knakmuhs told Flag Family News.

We can get from point a to point b a lot faster,” said Lacey Bunkelman of the Fargo Police Department. Fargo Police have added four brand-new trikkes. The first time they brought out the trikes were at Saturday’s Fargo Marathon.

Starting July 1st, 2025, adults, anyone 12 and older, and youth who operate motorboats, including a personal watercraft, will have to get a valid watercraft operator’s permit.

Detroit Lakes, M.N. – More than 40 years after creating their popular apparel business in Minnesota, the co-founders of Lakeshirts are stepping aside as leaders of their own company. According to the company’s Facebook page, Mark Fritz and Mike Hutchinson will stay on as advisors and remain on the company’s board of directors. Fritz and Hutchinson launched the company out of Detroit Lakes in 1984, and have expanded nationally and international over the course of four decades.
