Dilworth, Minn. – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz toured the new fire station in Dilworth that was funded by a state infrastructure bill he signed back in 2023. Guided by Dilworth Fire Chief Scott Payne, Walz had a firsthand look at the building’s new training area and extra trucking bay along 1st Avenue Northwest. “These things really matter,” said Walz following the tour.

By Kortney LockeyBENSON COUNTY, N.D. (Valley News Live) – A man is facing charges for allegedly exposing himself last month at Maddock City Hall. Leo Walker appeared in court on Monday. He’s charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and drug-related charges in Benson County. A city employee says she asked Walker to leave multiple times back in March. She says he exposed himself before leaving the building. The incident was caught on camera.

Duluth, M.N. – A former Minnesota college professor who was fired for refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine is filing a lawsuit against Governor Tim Walz. 60-year old Russell Stewart, who taught ethics and philosophy at Lake Superior College in Duluth, is naming Walz and his old employer in the lawsuit. Stewart was fired in 2022 for not abiding by the state’s vaccine mandate at the time.

Minneapolis, M.N. – A woman in southern Minnesota is facing federal charges for allegedly pretending to be her dead mother in order to collect her social security checks totaling $360,000 over more than two decades. The Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office says 54-year old Mavious Redmond of Austin started the fraud after her mother’s passing in 1999. Redmond even impersonated her late mother twice while visiting Social Security Administration officers in 2024.

(Valley News Live) – The Wahpeton Police Department says after 4:00pm on Wednesday April 9th, they were called to the Wahpeton High School parking lot, for a report that two males were threatening a student with a gun. Police say two days after the report was made, 18-year-old James Johnson and 18-year-old Tyler Ryan were booked into the Cass County Jail for terrorizing.
