The MLB veteran is coming off his second season with the Boston Red Sox in 2024. During that season, he finished with a 3.29 ERA and had 62 strikeouts in 54.2 innings. He also recorded 27 saves. Jansen has played in Major League Baseball since 2010. He is a four-time all-star and, with the Los Angeles Dodgers, won a World Series championship in 2020.

Chapman gives the Red Sox a potential closer, with incumbent Kenley Jansen on the free agent market.
