Jason Adam, Lake Bachar, Anthony Bender, Hunter Bigge, Lucas Erceg, Ryan Helsley, Tanner Scott, and Blake Treinen all had three SV+HLDs this past week. Bachar is the name that sticks out as the most surprising, but the 29 year old rookie isn’t on the fantasy radar this year or next. Helsley continues to build his lead and should finish the season with the most saves (and most SV+HLD’s).

+ Top 100 RP rankings for Saves + Holds leagues in 2024. Jason Foley, Josh Hader, Mason Miller, Tyson Miller, Michel Otanez, and Will Vest all had three SV+HLDs this past week. Foley and Vest have helped (along with Tyler Holton) lead the Tigers playoff charge recently, with the trio having plenty of fantasy value this month. Otanez setting up Mason Miller next season will be something to look forward to for A’s fans.

Brennan Bernardino, Emmanuel Clase, Hunter Gaddis, Tyler Kinley, David Robertson, Troy Taylor, Devin Williams and Kirby Yates all had three SV+HLDs this past week. Bernadino was placed on the IL this week and will miss the remainder of the season with an elbow injury. Clase and Gaddis keep cruising in the Guardians bullpen with Clase a regular on this list.

Jhoan Duran, Phil Maton, Aroldis Chapman, Reed Garrett, Griffin Jax, and Cade Smith all had three SV+HLDs this past week, with Duran and Maton racking four each. Maton and Garrett have settled in as the Mets top two set up options it appears, with Maton really taking off since joining the Mets.

+ Ranking baseball's closers for the 2024 season The Pirates have finally elected to take David Bednar out of the closer role, but this may still be a situation to avoid as it appears the team will go with a committee approach the rest of the season. Aroldis Chapman and Dennis Santana figure to be the two main closing options, and to be fair both have pitched exceptionally well since the All-Star break, so I wouldn’t argue against rostering either one.

Porter Hodge, Grant Holman, Raisel Iglesias, Tyler Kinley, Jared Koenig, Chris Martin, Joel Payamps, Evan Phillips, and Drew Smyly all had three SV+HLDs this past week. Holman is an intriguing fastball/changeup relief prospect in the A’s organization. Despite the tough season, Kinley has pitched much better as of late, but he still has Coors to deal with. Smyly isn’t consistent or good enough to crack the top 100 yet.

Emmanuel Clase, Bryan Abreu, Lucas Erceg, Tanner Scott, and Devin Williams all had three SV+HLDs this past week, with Clase picking up 4 (in four consecutive days). Mostly the usual suspects here, with two of the top closers in baseball, a top set-up man in Abreu, and two of the more coveted relievers at the deadline in Scott and Erceg.
