Greater Manchester Police have said that 12-year-old Poppy, who was declared missing on Wednesday (May 7), was found yesterday (Thursday, May 8). She had last been seen on Roman Road in Hollinwood at 3pm on Tuesday.

Rachael Spence, who lives in Shaw, has launched a High Court claim on behalf of her young son. Papers in the claim, which have been made publicly available, say that Mrs Spence's son was born prematurely at 32 weeks at the Royal Oldham Hospital.

The body of a man was subsequently recovered from the water, while his death is not being treated as suspicious, according to police.
