3 1/1 A family has paid tribute to a "much-loved father, grandfather, brother and friend" who was killed by a man "who treated the road like a race track". Mark Armstrong was 59 when he was struck by a car being driven by Muhammed Numan Ahmad, 26, just after 10pm on October 8 last year. The crash took place on Broadway, near the junction with Foxdenton Lane in Chadderton.

Abdul Bahadir and Husnain Ali were sentenced at Manchester Crown Court on Monday (June 16) alongside Mohammed Omayr for their roles in the drugs operation. Omayr, of Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, was in charge of the group and was responsible for organising the sale, distribution, returns, testing, storage, and payments of the drugs.
