REDDING, Calif. — The ex-husband of Sherri Papini speaks out for the first time, recalling the Redding woman's shocking disappearance hoax that made national headlines. Sherri Papini went missing in 2016. She was found three weeks later on Thanksgiving Day, covered in bruises, burns, and wounds along Interstate 5 in Woodland. Many thought it was a miracle until six years later, when investigators arrested her, stating the whole kidnapping was staged.
