DUNCAN FALLS — Sometimes in defeat — you simply just tip your cap, shake your opponents' hands and say job well done. Unfortunately, Meadowbrook High had one of those moments during Wednesday's Division IV regional softball semifinal with a tough, season-ending 4-2 loss to Logan Elm at Philo Athletic Complex. With the Colts playing in their third straight OHSAA regional, it was not a case of Meadowbrook losing the game.

STRASBURG ― For nearly 20 years, veteran Strasburg High assistant basketball coach Bob Neidenthal has helped put together the game plan for a successful Tigers basketball season. Neidenthal, a 1984 graduate of Strasburg, has served as varsity assistant for the Tigers boys program the last 8 years, and prior to that, was a varsity assistant with the Tiger girls from 2007-2014. During each of those seasons, he was working to implement someone else's vision for how to reach the end goal.

NEW CONCORD ― John Glenn enjoyed a record-setting season on the lacrosse field, and those efforts were recognized with the release of postseason honors. The Muskies lacrosse team enjoyed a highly successful season by finishing with a 15-4 final record. That win total set a new school record for wins for the fifth-year varsity program.

The Colts showed off their versatility by rolling past the Huskies in a convincing 17-5 five-inning victory to improve to 21-6 and capture their 3rd consecutive district title.
