RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Friday is a First Alert Weather Day due to the potential for scattered strong to severe storms in the evening in Central Virginia. The Storm Prediction Center upgraded the severe weather outlook Friday to a level 2 or slight risk. Showers are expected to move through the area Friday morning, which normally reduces the potency of the atmosphere later in the day. However, the current model guidance suggests the sun will break through the clouds during the afternoon.
