Even if she is not thinking about the damage a tornado did to her home, Laurel Palmer is reminded of it many days while in her kitchen. "When we are standing in the kitchen, the sun is coming right in, and we're just not use to that," Palmer said. "So the look and feel of the house is very different."The Palmer family lost about 40 trees in their yard alone, to the May 7 tornado. Many of their neighbors in the Ashton Woods neighborhood are in a similar situation.
