It'll never be the same, and it's just unfortunate," said Jay's mother, Corinna Montoya. The 26-year-old disappeared early on April 2, 2023, after leaving The Hangar 101 Bar in Lakewood. According to his family, he had left the bar with a group he had just met that night. They grew concerned when they didn't hear from him the next day.

    COLORADO — A federal judge on Friday dismissed a lawsuit that challenged Colorado's power to cap prescription drug costs. The lawsuit came after Colorado's Prescription Drug Affordability Review Board (PDAB) deemed the drug Enbrel "unaffordable" in February 2024. Etanercept (Enbrel) is a prescription medicine used to treat several long-term autoimmune inflammatory diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis.

    AURORA, Colo. — A Colorado law that simplifies the process for undocumented immigrants looking to obtain a driver's license took effect Monday. Previous state laws allowed immigrants to get their licenses. However, they had to live in Colorado for at least two years and provide proof of income tax, a social security or ITIN number, and other documents. Senate Bill 24-182, which Governor Jared Polis signed into law in June 2024, dropped those requirements and several others.

    AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department said a mother has been issued a summons after a child was found with a loaded gun in school on Friday morning. According to Aurora PD, patrol officers responded to Arrowhead Elementary School at around 8:30 a.m. after getting a call about a student with a firearm. APD said preliminary investigations indicate that the child was showing the gun to classmates when another student notified an adult.
