    BLOSSBURG — On Monday night Bonnie Thompson, business manager for Southern Tioga School District presented the 2025-26 proposed final budget which will be voted on in June’s board meeting. Thompson informed the board that local revenues for the district have decreased by $66,626 which was due to the real estate tax line which had no increase in real estate taxes.

    COUDERSPORT — Pop Angelo, Judge Lewis and Canadian whiskey were all part of the tales told by Potter County Historical Society president David Castano during the Coudersport Prohibition Bus Tour held during the 57th Annual Potter-Tioga Maple Festival. The tours were presented by the Eliot Ness Museum and gave festival-goers a chance to learn about the days of Prohibition in Potter County.

    COUDERSPORT — The Coudersport High School band still made its way down Main Street, the music in the gazebo went on and the babies made their debut though the rain came down heavy on the 57th Annual Coudersport Maple Festival. This year, a new float carrying the court of the Maple Festival Maple Boy and Girl contests made its way to the gazebo on Courthouse Square where the winner was announced.
