The Wellsboro Lions Club hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt, after rain delayed the event by a day. The club hid about 3,000 eggs in Woodland Park for four age ranges: under 2, ages 3-4, ages 5-7 and 8 and older. It took minutes to clear the areas of eggs, then more time to open to find out if candy or a ticket to win a larger prize was hidden inside. The Lions Club also offered free hot dogs and hot chocolates to all participants, along with a special guest, the Easter Bunny.

Despite cold, wet weather and blustery winds, His Thousand Hills outside of Wellsboro hosted families for Farm and Nature Day on April 19. Families could go inside to make Resurrection egg kits. Using plastic eggs, children filled the eggs with items to represent the Passion of Jesus Christ. The final egg was empty, representing the empty tomb and his resurrection. There was also a snack to make, games to play and a face painting station.
