LOUIS — An attorney licensed in Missouri is facing a legal malpractice lawsuit filed in St. Louis Circuit Court, accused of negligence that allegedly cost his former client more than $550,000 in damages and legal fees. In a petition filed April 28, J & M Securities LLC alleges that Matthew J. Floyd, who represented the company in a debt collection case in 2017, failed to file within the appropriate statute of limitations and neglected to assert critical defenses.

LOUIS — The family of a woman who drowned has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in St. Louis County Circuit Court, alleging that a series of negligent acts and omissions by multiple entities involved in a bridge construction project directly led to her death in November 2024. The plaintiffs — David Parisotto, Peter Parisotto and Jane Woods — filed the suit on April 11, 2025, against six defendants: Gershenson Construction Co. Inc., St. Louis County, HR Green Inc., Tramar Contracting Inc.

ST. LOUIS — The family of a Missouri man who died from injuries sustained in a rear-end collision is seeking court approval of a $275,000 wrongful death settlement in St. Louis Circuit Court. The case centers around the death of Robbie Coale, also known as Robert Coale, who was seriously injured on Nov. 26, 2024, when the 2023 Buick Envision he was driving was struck from behind by a 2015 Dodge Challenger, according to a petition filed April 16, 2025.
