SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - In just a few months, residents could be riding around downtown Sherman on the city’s new trolley. The City of Sherman’s new transportation system is on its last step before being rolled out this summer. In 2024, Sherman City Council approved Sherman’s Main Street Committee to purchase a trolley to transport travelers around downtown, to Hot Summer Nights and the annual July 4th Lights on the Lake.

BONHAM, Texas (KXII) - Hundreds lined up in Bonham Friday morning to get free dental care provided by Texas Mission of Mercy. From teeth cleaning, to extractions, to brand new teeth altogether, a boost of confidence was given to hundreds of patients Friday, one smile at a time. TEXAS (KXII) - A bill that would ban all forms of THC, the psychoactive compound found in cannabis, is making its way through the Texas legislature. It’s a top priority for Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, who said he will even push for a special session to get it passed. Senate Bill 3 would prohibit the retail sale of any cannabinoid in Texas – except CBD and CBG. The bill would ban delta 8, delta 9, and all other forms of intoxicating THC.

HONEY GROVE, Texas (KXII) - Evan Brown, the Honey Grove volunteer firefighter who died while responding to a wreck in July 2023, was memorialized at the Texas State Capitol. Hometown hero, firefighter, friend, and son, those are just a few words that describe Evan Brown. In July of 2023 while responding to a wreck, Evan Brown got into a wreck of his own, and after spending 21 days in the hospital, Evan made his way back home to Honey Grove one last time.

(KXII) - The Criner Hills Volunteer Fire Department is using a new device to keep first responders safe when they respond to an emergency. “We are looking out for the safety of our guys, and this is just another tool in the tool box to help prevent that,” Chief Michael Campbell of the Criner Hills Volunteer Fire Department said.
