GREAT BEND, Kan. – The Jayhawk Collegiate League baseball team the Great Bend Bat Cats started off their 2025 summer season strong. After six games, they are 4-2 overall and 4-0 against Jayhawk Collegiate League opponents. The Bat Cats started their season with two games against the Dodge City A’s, who are part of the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. Great Bend fell in both games, losing 8-3 in Great Bend Saturday, May 31 and 15-12 in Dodge City the following day.

Caglianone ripped Miles Mikolas’ curveball into the right-field corner for an RBI double that scored Salvador Perez in the fourth inning of the first game of a doubleheader against the Cardinals.

McPHERSON, Kan. – The Central Christian College of Kansas (CCCK) has announced details of their Athletics Golf Tournament Fundraiser. The golf tournament will played Saturday, July 19 at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson. The tournament is a fundraiser for the CCCK Tigers’ Athletic Department. Anyone is welcome to participate in the tournament either individually or as a team. The prices are $150 for individual players or $600 for a team.

LAWRENCE, Kan – The Kansas Jayhawks Men’s Basketball team as agreed with the University of Connecticut (UConn) for a home-and-home series starting in 2025. The first meeting of the new series will be at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The series will then head to Storrs, Conn., home of the Huskies, in 2026. The Jayhawks and the Huskies last met at Allen Fieldhouse on Dec. 1, 2023 in a game that featured the previous two national champions.
