WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - After showing glimpses of stardom in his true freshman season at Kansas, center Flory Bidunga surprised many by putting his name in the transfer portal. Sunday afternoon though, ESPN reported that Bidunga signed a new NIL deal to return to Lawrence and play for Bill Self in his sophomore season. Sources: Coveted big-man Flory Bidunga, one of the top transfers in the portal, has agreed to a deal to stay at Kansas, he told ESPN.

HOLCOMB, Kan. (KWCH) - In Holcomb, Kansas you can find many things: Football state championships, endless cattle, the Thirsty Dawg and the crème de la crème of umpires. The Finney County town of just over 2,000 people is home to longtime MLB umpire Todd Tichenor. He says his days umpiring southwest Kansas Little League baseball games led to his love of umpiring which has led to over a decade of big league baseball games.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - For the first time since 2016 there will be four Kansas City Royals representatives at the Mid-Summer Classic. After one of the hottest start in recent franchise history, the Royals will send two position players and two pitchers to compete for the American League. On the pitching staff, the Kansas City 1-2 punch of Cole Ragans and Seth Lugo were both selected to play in their first All-Star Games.
