    LEESBURG — Upcoming events and projects taking place in town were discussed at the Leesburg Town Council meeting Monday. The Leesburg Memorial Day parade will be held at 10:30 a.m. May 26. All parade participants are to be in place by 10:15 a.m. Veterans will meet at Town Hall. The parade route will be south on Pearl Street and west on Prairie Street to the cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the cemetery following the parade.

    LEESBURG  — Leesburg Town Council voted to purchase an air purification system as a solution to the ongoing sewer odor coming from the main pumping station. The decision was made during the council meeting Monday. Leesburg Council President Tom Moore spoke with Dan Fox, general manager of Astbury Water Technology Inc., about the continuing issue the town has with the offensive odor.
