Centers would have had to recuse himself anyway, as he is employed by Conger Construction, the firm that built the adjacent new high school, according to City Manager Jonathan Westendorf. Westendorf said he thinks City Council will introduce the rezoning request Monday and then vote on it July 1.

    Jun. 13—The Bob Sumerel Tire and Service store and AAA office at 603 E. Main St. in Lebanon will close on June 21 to make way for a new Dunkin' Donuts store. The closing of the 7,000 square-foot tire shop is due to lease expiration and consolidation of an area Bob Sumerel location following the merger of the AAA Ohio Auto Club and the AAA Auto Club Alliance in January 2022, according to Kara Hitchens of AAA Club Alliance.

Hive Holding Company purchased 1.21 acres at 300 Central Ave. for $100,000. David and Michelle Jackson will turn the former gasoline station at the corner of Central Avenue and Dayton-Oxford Road into a coffee shop and café named The Purple Pig Café. "We are very excited to bring a specialty coffee option to the city of Carlisle.
