    TOLEDO, Ohio — Voters made their voices heard on a number of issues during last week's primary special election. These issues included levies for public library funding. According to the Ohio Library Council, 69% of voters across the state approve of what the current library systems are doing, and out of 88 counties, 13 different public library systems across the state were on the ballot for levies. Among these levies, all of them passed.

    OREGON, Ohio — Friday marked the official start to the "Biggest Week in American Birding." According to Metroparks Toledo and the Black Swamp Bird Observatory, the week consists of a 10-day festival recognizing and celebrating the migration of birds not normally seen in the Northwest Ohio area. Dr. Jay Wright is the Metroparks Toledo Science Director. He said this event attracts birders (and birds) from all over the world.

WTOL 11 talked with numerous people at the Perrysburg License Bureau who said they either already have the REAL ID, or they don't find themselves in a rush to get it changed. According to the state, Ohio has been issuing real IDs for the past seven years and they can be issued at any local BMV at no cost to you.

    BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — May 5 marks Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday celebrated across the Americas in different ways. In the United States, the holiday is normally celebrated through food and drink, something one local restaurant said they take days to prepare for. "It definitely is one of the busiest days for us of the year, along with National Margarita Day, and we have hundreds of customers. We go through customers like crazy," said Rebeca Olivarez, manager for Guajillos Cocina Mexicana.
