This week, The Old Man is front and center in my thoughts. Because if there was one thing Charlie Eckert could be counted on for each and every year, it was filling out an NCAA men’s basketball bracket. It’s been more than six years since my father died, but I can still see him, clear as a bell, sitting in his chair at the dining room table of my childhood home in Sinking Spring, hunched over that piece of paper, deep in thought.

During the NFL season, Tuesdays in Bob Capolupo’s office get all sorts of raucous. Nope, this isn’t the school guidance counselor digs your mind might conjure up. Not by a thousand miles.
