WALKER, Mich. — Soon, dozens of acres in Walker will be transformed into a new home for our aquatic friends. "Oh, we're so excited. It's been years in the making,” said Peter D’Arienzo, CEO of John Ball Zoo. D'Arienzo told 13 ON YOUR SIDE that the zoo plans to build the a massive aquarium in Walker. He says an aquarium this size hasn’t been built in the last 20 years and will match the size of other aquariums, like the Shedd Aquarium or Monterey Bay Aquarium, if not bigger.
