The recall affects made-to-order subs, wraps, and paninis made and sold at multiple Big Y locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts on May 20 and May 21. Smartcuts informed Big Y that the sliced cucumber used in some of its stores for the kitchen sandwiches was impacted by an ongoing outbreak investigation of Bedner Growers Inc.

    NEW HAVEN, Conn — Avelo Airlines is adding service to and from Portland, Maine, at Tweed New Haven Airport. Non-stop service will operate on Thursdays and Sundays to and from Tweed and Portland International Jetport (PWM). Service started Wednesday for a "special inaugural flight." One-way fares from New Haven start at $44. This comes about a week after Avelo started its federal deportation flights out of Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona, which have prompted boycotts and protests at Tweed.

The company that owns Vermont-based Cabot Creamery is recalling its 8oz Extra Creamy Premium Butter, Sea Salted, which is packaged as two 4oz sticks in a box. The best by date is 9/9/25, Lot no. 090925-055, Item no. 2038. The company is recalling the butter due to it being contaminated with "elevated levels of coliform," according to the FDA.

The Safe Haven of Greater Waterbury provided the update Monday on GoFundMe, which has raised over $212,000 to give the 32-year-old man "a second chance" at life.
