CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — As one livestock show comes to an end, another begins, this time in Sinton for the San Patricio and Aransas County A&H Show. A&H Show president, John Steelhammer, says the livestock show will go on this week, but with safety at the forefront. "Be safe, make good calls, make good judgement. Be careful on the roads, we're not going to penalize you for being late," Steelhammer said.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The month of April welcomes a lot into the spring season. Among the list, it also recognizes autism awareness. According to Autism Speaks, one-in-36 children in the United States have autism. For adults, that number is one-in-45. Here at home, that 'awareness,' means visiting with the local resources that support families or individuals with autism, one of which has been serving the Coastal Bend since 2008, and transforming lives ever since.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Donald Goode of Sinton, a man who dedicated his life to education here in the Coastal Bend, died Friday surrounded by family. In the Taft and Sinton ISDs many will remember him as Mr. Goode. I had the honor of calling him grandpa. He grew up in El Campo and served as an army medic during the Korean war. When he returned home, he attended Southwest Texas State College in San Marcos, taking his studies to Mexico to learn Spanish.
