Tuesday is National Fentanyl Awareness Day, and the Placer County Sheriff's Office, district attorney and the health and human services department are teaming up to get the word out about the crisis locally, to crack down on fentanyl dealers and reduce overdoses. The One Pill Can Kill Placer campaign is raising awareness, but the DA's office said that's not all they are doing. In 2025, more cases are being prosecuted here at the Placer County courthouse.
