AbstractMediation analysis helps uncover how exposures impact outcomes through intermediate variables. Traditional mean-based total mediation effect measures can suffer from the cancellation of opposite component-wise effects and existing methods often lack the power to capture weak effects in high-dimensional mediators. Additionally, most existing work has focused on continuous outcomes, with limited attention to binary outcomes, particularly in case-control studies.

Constructing and manipulating quantum states in fast-rotating Bose-Einstein condensates (BECs) has long stood as a significant challenge as the rotating speed approached a critical velocity. Although a recent experiment [R. J. Fletcher et al., Science 372, 1318 (2021)] has realized the geometrically squeezed state of the guiding-center mode, the remaining degree of freedom, the cyclotron mode, remains unsqueezed due to the large energy gap of the Landau levels.

1. IntroductionThe analysis of rock thin section imagery represents an indispensable geological exploration [1] tool for understanding and recognizing the composition of the Earth. Furthermore, it serves as a significant evaluation method in oil and gas exploration and development [2]. This technique can be employed to identify petrological properties of reservoir rocks [3], ascertain genetic types [4], and differentiate the characteristics of reservoir space and pore structure [5].
