    A Virginia-based burger restaurant is planning expansion to the Peach State for the first time. Progress is moving forward on the Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint planned for 1006 North Highland Avenue Northeast, according to a recent building permit application with the City of Atlanta. The restaurant is going into the Virginia-Highland space formerly occupied by Taco Mac’s original location, which recently announced it would be closing there after almost 50 years.

    A new restaurant is coming soon to downtown Wyandotte after extensive renovation of the space. Latitudes Restaurant & Bar will be located at 3455 Biddle Avenue. The large space can accommodate about 500 people and will be available for hosting events. The restaurant will feature waterfront dining, a seafood-focused menu and a Carribbean vibe, the Detroit Free Press reports. According to the news outlet, the restaurant comes from Josh Cade, Ron Thomas and Leo Stevenson.

The brand would be going into the approximately 1,000-square-foot space formerly occupied by Goorin Bros. Hat Shop. Catbird is a New York-based jewelry brand.

    A new restaurant is coming to West Midtown. A concept called Füm is planned for the Star Metals District, according to a building permit application with the City of Atlanta. According to the application, the estimated cost of construction on the 5,053-square-foot space is $2.7 million. The buildout is slated to include a full-service kitchen, a pasta room, a dry ager and a bar.
