    Healthy and flavorful food is coming to Terminal South this summer. STAXX is the latest concept to be announced for the development’s food hall called Switchman Hall. The fast-casual restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with counter service at the food hall and a walk-up window accessible from the development’s patio. STAXX is founded by local entrepreneur Olga Alvarez, a local entrepreneur, longtime Atlanta resident and real estate agent.

    More residents of Lawrenceville might be able to run on Dunkin’. A location of the coffee and donut chain is planned for 1638 Lawrenceville Highway, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County. The new building would be 2,131 square feet, according to the application. Founded in 1950, Dunkin’ is now the largest coffee and donut brand in the U.S., with more than 13,200 locations across the world, including five existing stores in Lawrenceville.

    Something new, fried and customizable is coming to Woodstock. Wild Fryz is planned for Adair Park at Downtown Woodstock, a mixed-use community featuring restaurants, retail, office space and homes. The gourmet build-your-own-fries concept comes from Canadian native Thomas Cantley, who spent 18 years in film production before pivoting back to his passion for food and cooking. Cantley is a finalist for Favorite Chef in the online Fav Chef competition.

    A popular chicken chain appears to be working on another location in the Peach State. Raising Cane’s is planned for a space at 920 Buford Highway, according to construction plans. The site was formerly occupied by O’Charley’s. Construction documents indicate that the 7,250-square-foot building is expected to be demolished to clear the way for the ground-up construction of the 2,691-square-foot Raising Cane’s.

    Fishery Fitness is moving to the Depot District in Lawrenceville at 452 Eaton Street, almost half a mile north from its current location at 132 S Clayton Street. The new studio will be located in a 1,200-square-foot building, according to a building permit application with Gwinnett County.
