SUNDAYOne of the oldest parades and cultural celebrations in Denver history, dating back to the 1950s, the Juneteenth Music Festival in Five Points neighborhood absolutely packs the streets around 27th and Welton from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The music never stops with more than 15 performances on two stages and the featured headliner at 7 p.m. is Juvenile. All along Welton more than 100 vendors and food. The community participates in the parade celebrating the date when slavery ended.

THURSDAYA long-awaited permanent museum exhibit on the important Ute Indian history in the Pikes Peak region officially opens Thursday at Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum. Ute Homeland has been a five-year project of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Ute Indian Tribe of the Uintah and Ouray Reservation and the museum staff. Opening activities 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday with dancing, tours, speakers and more. Regular days to see the exhibit: Tuesdays through Saturdays.
